Gavin Richard was born and raised in the heart of New Orleans. A proud graduate of Saint Augustine High School (Class of 2004), he went on to earn his degree from Southern University A&M College in 2008 and his law degree from the Southern University Law Center in 2014.
Gavin has worked tirelessly in his community as a member of the 100 Black Men of Metro New Orleans, the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club, and through efforts with the Peacemakers, helping bridge gaps and reduce violence in our neighborhoods.
A man of faith, Gavin worships at Saint Paul The Apostle Catholic Church and believes that integrity, compassion, and action must guide public service.
